DescriptionOur client has an immediate opening for a Nondestructive Testing Engineer (NDT). The engineer will oversee the nondestructive test personnel, reinspect product previously accepted, monitor subvendors performance, maintain records, qualify personnel, review and qualify NDT procedures and take an active role in solving NDT problems.
The qualified candidate will possess or have experience in the following:
BS in Engineering or other scientific field.
Establishing contact and immersion ultrasonic (UT) nondestructive inspection and measurement techniques and associated operating procedures.
Proficient in eddy current (ET) inspection methods and familiarity with laser profilometry, liquid penetrant and radiography.
Troubleshooting UT and ET inspection systems in order to support production needs.
Must have ability to qualify as MIL-STD-2132 Ultrasonic Test Examiner in both contact and immersion techniques.
Experience with phased array UT technology is a plus.
