SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity in specific work centers or machines as well as managing inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Based on the MPS driven demand or Backlog Orders, selects and sequences available jobs to be run at specific workstations or machines – taking into account the DPAS ratings on orders where applicable
·         Meets weekly with Contracts (where applicable) to review all pending and recently received demands
·         Manages overall workload of the shop and align resources as needed to maintain balance (Where App)
·         Drives consistent communications between planning, accounting, buyers and project management for consistent project Material EAC’s and Execution Charts
·         Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis to meet the delivery schedules
·         Creates and maintains the expected completion of each scheduled job
·         Reviews the schedule and ensures the raw materials are available when needed to run according to the schedule
·         Create a forward-looking plan to create purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries to support the run schedules
·         Ensure all outside services are planned and monitored
·         Consolidates demand for purchase requisitions
·         Highlights critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS/Backlog
·         Responsible for On-time delivery (OTD) to ensure accurate shipment dates
·         Reviews sales orders for accuracy and completeness (where applicable)
·         Provides priority list to production as needed
·         Coordinates engineering changes into production when appropriate
·         Meets with the Operations team as needed to discuss schedule
·         Determines capacity planning/staffing requirements needed to achieve the production requirements and schedules
EDUCATION:
  •          Bachelor’s in business or related discipline preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
·         Five years of scheduling and/or planning experience preferred; ERP experience a must, SAP desired; previous experience in defense procurement highly desired.  
·         Skilled in the use of Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as Sharepoint
