My client is an EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services ) organization; some people refer to them as Electronics Contract Manufacturing. In both case these are the industrial sectors that build - to - print for their customers - from simple circuit boards to complete assemblies for various industries such as medical device, aerospace, defense , wireline, storage etc. Because profit margins within this industry are generally low one of the most important and therefore key roles for success is the Supply Chain organization and cost control of parts.
The selected person for this key role is a member of Senior Management and reports to the COO of the U.S. organization. You would be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the development and implementation of company business policies, practices, and procedures required for the Materials Procurement team to improve financial and business success through implementation of effective SCM strategies. In doing so you will direct 8 - 10 people located at 2 facilities in the U.S. - San Diego and Indiana.
The successful candidate may be based at San Diego or Logansport, IN. Obviously this will present travel to each location to insure implementation orders , flow etc.
It is a MUST that the successful candidate have Supply Chain / Procurement experience and heavily experienced within the Electronics Contract Manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office Suite
Must be U.S. Citizen or approved to work in the U.S. - NO sponsorships available
A strong plus would be ability to speak Mandarin in addition to English
