Senior Buyer
SUMMARY
Responsible for the most cost effective use of company funds to procure assigned materials and services. Support the material and information requirements to meet short and long-term objectives through effective supply chain management. This provides the primary interface between company operations and the supply base. This position will be responsible for the analysis of sales orders and bills of material to ensure timely material procurement, utilization of MRP system to track material needs, and communicating with operational staff to mediate inventory shortages.
Position Requirements:
· The successful candidate for the Senior Buyer position will demonstrate excellent contract negotiation skills in combination with procurement experience in the defense sector.
· Potential candidate must have the ability to read blue prints, and communicate well across all levels of the company as well with vendors and customers.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
